Join us in exploring diabetes in youth and the special considerations needed when working with them and their families.

Dr. Ponder will discuss messages that need to be heard by all persons newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, the roles of proactive and reactive decision making in diabetes self-care, and comparing static versus dynamic diabetes self-management approaches.

Zoe Schlenker will share her family’s experience of raising 4 children, 2 of which were diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

Louise Laskaratos will discuss diabetes camp as well CGM and pumps in youth. She will explore considerations needed as well as the benefits and barriers to CGMs and Pumps.
