Participants will examine how poverty, food systems, and policy changes influence chronic disease risk and health equity. The session covers key nutrition access programs (Fresh Rx, SNAP, WIC, food pantries, summer meal programs, and local food hubs), eligibility, and referral pathways. Attendees will also strengthen trauma‑informed, culturally responsive communication skills, learn validated screening tools, and leave with ready‑to‑use resources to support advocacy and improve nutrition access in their communities.
