NMDAC sets strategic priorities for upcoming year

At NMDAC’s April 4 membership meeting, Board Chair Linda Reineke shared the organization’s new mission and strategic priorities that the board has been fine tuning over the last several months.

With this vision and mission, I feel we now have a clear direction on how NMDAC can make more of a difference in the lives of those living with diabetes,” said Linda.

MISSION: To provide and advocate for culturally-sensitive professional development for the multidisciplinary health care professional community in order to improve the quality of diabetes prevention and care in New Mexico.

The four strategic priorities:

  1. Sustainability
Goal: Identify ongoing resources to expand our financial security
  2. Membership
Goal: Use new strategies to increase and diversify NMDAC membership by defining value of membership, as well as develop leaders
  3. Professional/Program Development
Goal: Provide educational resources to promote professional growth
  4. Partnerships/Outreach
Goal: Strengthen our presence in the healthcare community

Committees have been formed to support each of these goals. If you are interested in learning more about how you can help support our new vision and mission, send an e-mail inquiry to newmexicodac@gmail.com
